WHERE TO RECYCLE:
In your office or dorm
Place a box under your desk to toss your recyclable papers. Call RCI if you need a specially designed box or use one of your own.
REMEMBER, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO DUMP THESE BOXES INTO THE GREEN RECYCLE BINS.
Green bins
There are clearly marked green recycling bins; one for paper and one for commingled bottles and cans in every building and in every hall on campus.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL NOT TO CONTAMINATE THE BINS WITH TRASH! If you mix recyclables or you put trash in a recycling bin, then everything that has gone in that bin previously is now contaminated. If twenty people throw their soda cans in the appropriate bin and someone throws in one candy wrapper, all of it will go to the landfill.
Recycling Stations in outdoor areas and in selected buildings
There are clearly marked recycling stations in high traffic areas designed for paper, bottles/cans and regular trash disposal
Printer cartridges: Drop off at the Copy Center
Newspapers/Magazines/Catalogs/Phonebooks: Recycle bins are labeled, color coded and are located in the Falk foyer across from the commuter lounge.
