Chatham University seeks an energetic admissions professional to assume the key role of International Student Recruiter. In this vital position, you will be responsible for increasing graduate and undergraduate international student enrollment.

Responsibilities include:

- Developing and managing yearly recruitment plan to increase undergraduate and graduate enrollment as measured by countries represented and student headcount

- Advising and supporting international students through the admissions process

- Providing expertise, assessment and support in validating international student applicants on academic qualifications and financial aid needs

- Helping establish new relationships while managing existing relationships with international institutions, partners and agents to increase referrals

- Conducting virtual information sessions for students, agents and counselors abroad

- Identifying and traveling to U.S.-based or international recruitment fairs

- Facilitating partner visits and other opportunities that will return strong recruitment results

- Collaborating with the Office of International Affairs on securing immigration documentation

- As a Designated School Official (DSO), preparing all immigration documents for new students entering the United States or transfer students changing U.S. institutions (preferred, but not required responsibility)

The ideal candidate will be a creative, highly service-oriented professional with a Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred) and two to four years of experience in international student admissions—preferably at the university level. Knowledge of visa regulations, including SEVIS reporting requirements, and the Department of Homeland Security regulations is essential. Qualifications include strong written and oral communication skills, as well as excellent skills in emerging technology and media. The ability to read and assess international student transcripts and secure a passport for international travel is requisite. Fluency in additional languages is preferred.
