Student Flow Model
The Student Flow Model is a tracking tool, which tracks the new full-time degree seeking freshmen and new degree seeking transfer students, new master students, and new doctoral students over each semester of their enrollment through receipt of a degree. The cohort data of new full-time freshmen, new transfer students, new master students, and new doctoral students in fall semester are extracted from the enrollment database and are merged with current enrollment and graduation databases for each subsequent semester. Enrollment, retention and graduation rates, time-to-degree, and cumulative grade point averages are tracked for all students in each cohort, and also by subgroups such as gender, ethnicity, Pell Grant status, Athletic status, Full-/Part-time status, and so on and so forth.
