Jessica Mooney
Assistant to the Dean

In this position, she has been involved in design charettes for Chatham’s new Eden Hall Campus in Richland Township, PA which will become the first higher education sustainability campus built from the ground up, and developed and written grant proposals to support projects and faculty research.

Jessica has extensive experience in city and county government sustainability planning and practices, including data gathering, analysis and recommendations that provide institutions with baseline statistics and best-practice next steps. Most recently, she worked on business development for the Allegheny County Economic Development department as Assistant Manager, and evaluated Community Development Block Grants. She was a member of the Allegheny County Green Team that was tasked with reducing the County’s greenhouse gas emissions by 20 percent by 2015. She was also a key member of the team that helped the City of Pittsburgh, PA initiate its Green Government Task Force and helped complete the Pittsburgh Climate Protection Initiative. Jessica is a board member at Allegheny Land Trust.
