Linh T. Phung is an ESL (English as a Second Language) professional with expertise and experience in ESL teaching, ESL materials development, language assessment and intercultural communication. She received her undergraduate degree from Vietnam National University and her graduate degree from the Pennsylvania State University. During her study, she was awarded scholarships and assistantships from both universities for her academic and professional accomplishments. As an ESL teacher and language development specialist, she has experience working with adult learners from diverse backgrounds in different educational settings. She has taught English to speakers of other languages at Vietnam National University, the Pennsylvania State University, Chatham University, Carnegie Mellon University and other educational institutions in Vietnam. She is currently in charge of the English Language Program at Chatham University. Under her direction, the program is evolving to meet diverse linguistic needs of Chatham’s international students and Pittsburgh international community.
Ms Phung is the current Vice President for 3RiversTESOL.
