Biography

Originally from Upstate New York, Tyson Schrader earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from Carnegie Mellon University and his Master of Arts in Education from New York University. Tyson taught theatre arts, English literature, and academic writing skills at secondary schools in New York City for two years before moving back to Pittsburgh in 2009. Since then, Tyson has served as a teaching artist in local schools, managed box office at several local theaters, supervised front-of-house staff at a fine dining restaurant, and managed fundraising and marketing for a non-profit events venue. At Chatham, Tyson started as the clinical administrative assistant for the PA program and has since become the program assistant for MOT and OTD. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, acting, and spending time with family and friends.
