March 2010 PT Grand Rounds Presentation - Women's Health Issues

Pittsburgh, PA - A case presentation on Current Issues in Women's Ante and Postpartum Health and their Relationship to Musculoskeletal Complaints was given by Susan Clinton before a group of physical therapy students, faculty, and area clinicians on March 24, 2010 in the Mellon Board Room of Chatham University.

Ms. Clinton received her education from The University of Texas in Physical Therapy and Louisiana State University in Health Sciences and education. She has worked in a variety of settings and currently specializes in women's health. A self-described "hurricane Katrina" refugee, she recently moved to Pittsburgh where she heads a residency program in women's PT, continues clinical care, and teaches in several PT programs. She has recently completed research projects on incontinence, pelvic floor muscle training, lymphedema, and the treatment of pelvic floor pain. A current officer of the section on women's health of the APTA, she has presented nationally on a variety of clinical and research issues related to women's health. She is currently a doctoral student at Andrews University and a Saints fan.
