Pittsburgh, PA -
Malcolm Gregory received his Doctor of Physical Therapy at Chatham University in 2008. A native of England, he trained as a microbiologist, graduating from the University of Bath with a BS in Applied Biology in 1981 and the University of London with a Ph.D. in 1990.

Malcolm moved to Pittsburgh in 2001, establishing with his wife Lynne a company to develop a rapid blood testing system for early detection of Type 2 Diabetes. This led to his determination that there is a large gap in the current healthcare system for early intervention in diabetes and that physical therapists are ideally placed to deliver a significant part of that care.

Currently, Malcolm is a physical therapist at Canonsburg General Hospital, where he works with a variety of patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. He was instrumental in the recent launch of a new program “Nutrition and Exercise for Diabetes” that seeks to support patients with diabetes in changing their lifestyle and getting better control of the disease.

His interests also include maximizing mobility and reducing fall risk in the senior population.
