Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program

The transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (DPT) is specifically designed for physical therapy professionals who have graduated from an accredited physical therapy program with a minimum of a B.S. degree and hold a current & valid USA physical therapy license.

The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), does not offer accreditation for post-professional education. The Chatham University Transitional DPT program is fully accredited by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.

August 2010 TRANSITIONAL DPT PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENT:

Based on current trends within the physical therapy profession and enrollment trends within Chatham University’s Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, we anticipate closing the Transitional Program at the completion of the 2012 Summer Term.  We plan to run the normal schedule of courses from Fall 2010 through and including the Summer 2012. This notice should give any current or new student adequate opportunity to prepare their plan of study and complete the degree within the projected time frame.
