Chapter 354 Pennsylvania School Code
An applicant for Teacher Preparation at the undergraduate level cannot apply for formal acceptance before the completion of 48 credit hours or the full time equivalent of college study. Applicants should follow the outline given below of undergraduate requirements mandated by the state of Pennsylvania.

Full admission to the teacher preparation program is based on a variety of information; for example, transcripts, recommendations, admissions essays, and

  1. At least 6 credit hours of College Level mathematics (usually a math 100 level or higher).
  2. At least 3 credit hours of English Composition and 3 credit hours of English Literature (British or American Literature).
  3. A GPA of 2.8 and qualifying scores on the Praxis I pre-professional skills tests: Reading, Writing and Mathematics.
