Biography

An interior designer since 1988, Janet has gained extensive professional practice experience by working for a dealership, architectural firm, interior design firm, a management company with in-house design services and by operating her own interior design firm of over 13 years. She is an NCIDQ certified designer, who has successfully completed projects in health care, hospitality, retail, office and residential design. An active member of ASID, American Society of Interior Designers, serving on many committees and as president of both the Ohio North Chapter and the PA West Chapter. Janet is an award winning designer who has completed numerous commercial projects, Her work has been featured in Northern Ohio Live Magazine, Cleveland Magazine, and Whirl Magazine. She has been featured in the Pittsburgh Business Times, as an instructor at Chatham University, and has served as an expert interior design source for a number of newspapers and magazines. She is a strong proponent of educating interior designers to master the health, safety, and welfare needs of building occupants, and has taught interior design courses at Kent State University, The University of Akron, The Art Institute on-line and is currently teaching at Chatham University.
