Christine M. Sarteschi is an Assistant Professor of Social Work and Criminology at Chatham University. Dr. Sarteschi holds a Ph.D. in social work from the University of Pittsburgh. She has approximately 10 years of post-master's clinical social work experience and is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Pennsylvania. Her practice experience is primarily in the areas of severe mental illness, including having worked in a variety of settings such as private practice, community mental health, college counseling and university research centers. Her research has appeared in The British Journal of Social Work, Research on Social Work Practice, the Journal of Forensic Social Work, Journal of Criminal Justice, among others. Dr. Sarteschi also has served as a peer reviewer for several journals including Criminal Justice and Behavior, The Sociological Quarterly, The Journal of Forensic Social Work, Victims & Offenders, and the Journal of Criminal Justice.
