Undergraduate Conditional Admission Process for English Language Proficiency
Conditional admission is available for academically qualified students who have not yet met the minimum English proficiency requirements. To be fully admitted and start academic program students must :
Step 1: Apply to undergraduate program. http://apply.chatham.edu/ugrad/ and submit all required documents. If you have a test score, please submit to Chatham University.
Step 2: Once you receive conditional admission for a future term,
- you must complete Chatham University English Language Program (ELP) high Intermediate level with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and submit ELP Coordinator recommendation
- if you are government sponsored, you must complete Chatham University English Language Program (ELP) advanced level with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and submit ELP Coordinator recommendation. New sponsorship rules do not allow advanced level English Language classes to count towards graduation requirements and the sponsor will not pay for advanced level English Language classes taken as an undergraduate student.
Step 3: Upon completion of Chatham ELP, you will begin your academic program.
- Additional English for Academic Purposes (EAP) classes may be required. EAP classes meet Chatham University general education graduation requirements.
- Government sponsored students will begin academic program and may utitlize Englsih Language Program tutors for additional support.
