Arts Management, focus in Music
I’m the student supervisor for the Chatham Ambassador program. My favorite part about being an ambassador is giving campus tours.
I went to Russia with Chatham Abroad last year, and I will encourage you to participate! I’m also a former Resident Advisor,
and a senior in the Chatham Scholars. I love music and (after going a tour for a few years) I hope to someday own my own music venue. In spring 2007, I completed a marketing internship with Ticketmaster and held two summer
internship positions in New Jersey; one with a production company and the other with a music magazine. I chose Chatham because I love the comfortable atmosphere,
the beautiful campus, the individualized attention in the classroom and the supportive faculty and staff.

Public Relations & Economics
It's my second year here at Chatham, and I'm a Public Relations and Economics major. I'm from Lower Burrell, PA, but I live on campus during the school year. After Chatham, I'll most likely pursue a Communications Master's degree. Chatham's location within the city of Pittsburgh really drew me to it, while giving me the feeling of a small university setting. Feel free to contact me if you have questions!

Biology, minor in Chemistry
My name is Sulvia Doja and I am a junior at Chatham University. I am majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I came to Chatham because I love the environment and the size. I am from Cranberry, which is located north of Pittsburgh. I still consider Pittsburgh as my "hometown" and I LOVE the Steelers! I graduated from high school with 740 other students; needless to say I did not t know everyone in my graduating class. Snohomish, WA
Visual Arts: Photography & Emerging Media, minor in business
My name is Emily; I am a sophomore from Washington state. I came to Chatham University to study Photography, Media, and Business. What interested me in Chatham University was the school's ability to help you design your major to fit your interests and career goals. The opportunities to study abroad, along with Chatham’s investment in each student as an individual, helped me when making my final choice in my undergraduate education. After my first year at Chatham I was accepted for a summer internship position with a highly notable and well regarded Photographer, with studios in New York, San Francisco and Seattle. Photography is a very experience-based field and I am so thankful that I was able to gain experience with professional guidance while earning college credit for my work.

My name is Nicole Joyner and I am a senior at Chatham University. I am majoring in mathematics with a minor in computing. At Chatham I am VP of Finance for the Black Student Union, a member of the Mortar Board and Golden Z Honor Societies, and a Chatham Ambassador. I love being an Ambassador because I get to tell prospective students why my peers and I love Chatham. If you attend Chatham University, you will be privileged with many opportunities such as studying abroad during the Maymester, earning credits for internships, and working with professors on their research projects. While working with my professor over the summer, I gained valuable research experience which will help me to complete my tutorial. My name will also be published along side the professor's name in a major science journal this year. By choosing Chatham, I entered an environment where I receive individual attention; a supportive faculty and staff, who help me in my pursuit of a career as an Actuary, a comfortable environment where I can explore and grow, and so much more. If you decide to attend Chatham University, I guarantee that the people at Chatham will do the same for you! |

5-year Masters in Counseling Psychology
Hello, my name is Chaquica Shipman (Keka for short!) and I am currently a sophomore at Chatham University. I have lived in Pittsburgh my entire life and I love the Steelers!!! I graduated from a small private school called the Neighborhood Academy, which is one of the reasons I chose Chatham. I graduated with a total class of four people so Chatham’s small student to faculty ratio was very important to me. I also chose Chatham because I want to be a successful woman when I graduate and I am positive that this university will help me reach that goal. At Chatham, I am doing an interdisciplinary major in Biology and Psychology as well as the five year masters program in Counseling Psychology, with plans to attend medical school to begin a career in Psychiatry and Psychology. I’m involved in Black Student Union and the Chemistry Society, I’m an orientation leader and I also work at the Chatham Library Circulation Desk. Chatham is one of the oldest all-women’s universities in the country and to me it is by far the best. At Chatham the professors are wonderful and they prepare you for the "real world." I know that Chatham is not for everyone, but it is definitely for me. I am proud of my university and I plan to tell the world about it!
