Chatham Places 18 on the 2010 Spring Academic Honor Roll
PITTSBURGH, PA (June 25, 2010) . . . A total of 327 student-athletes have been named to the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Academic Honor Roll for the spring 2010 semester. The PAC Academic Honor Roll honors student-athletes on winter and spring varsity sports teams who have earned a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.6 or higher on a 4.0 scale during their semester of competition. Combined with 314 honorees on the fall honor roll, the PAC honored a total of 641 student-athletes during the 2009-10 academic year.Westminster College led the 10 league schools as 53 Titan student-athletes earned PAC Academic Honor Roll laurels in the spring, followed by Grove City College (45), Washington & Jefferson College (44), Waynesburg University (39), Thiel College (34), Thomas More College (26), Geneva College (23), Saint Vincent College (23), Bethany College (22) and Chatham University (18).
Of the 18 women to be named to the Academic Honor Roll from Chatham included nine from the softball team, six from the swimming and diving team, and three from the basketball team.
“I am extremely proud of all of our student athletes and look forward to another successful 2010-11 academic and athletic school year in the fall,” Athletic Director David Zinn said of all of the accomplishments the Cougars have amassed this year, both academically and athletically.
