Mr. Ferguson graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with an undergraduate degree in Political Science and Legal Studies. He received his graduate degree from Geneva College. He is currently at the University of Pittsburgh completing his doctorate degree. He has over 15 years of experience working in the Human Resource arena. His career started in the federal government where He processed discrimination complaint cases and provided training and development for management and employees. During his career he has worked in the non-profit sector as well as the for profit sector. In 2001, Mr. Ferguson started an HR consulting firm named Multi Diversity Group (www.multidiversitygroup.com). Through Multi Diversity Group he provides training and development, workforce research, audits, conflict resolution and mediation. He started his teaching career in 2007 with the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC). While at CCAC he has taught in the Diversity and Ethnic Studies department as well as the Business and Technology department. Some of the Diversity and Ethnic Studies courses that he has taught include: Intro to Diversity and Ethnic Studies, Understanding Violence in America and Current Issues in Ethnic and Diversity Studies. Some of the Business courses that he has taught at CCAC include: Principles of Management, Labor Relations Management, Principles of Supervision, Human Resource Management, Business Law and Public Relations. Mr. Ferguson started teaching at Chatham University in 2007. Some of the courses that he has taught at Chatham University include: Foundations of Business, Intro to Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior, in both the undergraduate and graduate program. He also serves on a board of directors for a social change foundation. The name of this foundation is Three Rivers Community Foundation (www.trcf.org). In addition to serving on the TRCF board of directors he serves on an advisory committee for a charter school, diversity committee for CCAC and the diversity advisory committee for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Mr. Ferguson has been happily married since 1997 and he and his wife have two sons.
