Division 3 Class Offerings
Entering 4th grade
Our Intermediate level campers enjoy the traditional camp activities while getting their first taste of choosing some of the specials, like dance, or music sectionals. Once you have registered your camper you will be sent information on how to choose one of these experiences.
Activities include:
"Art Cart and Eco Arts" Each day campers will engage in innovative and fun two and three dimensional art projects with our art instructors. Topics will include recycled art, sequential art, puppetry and more!
"Prop Shop" Prop Shop allows the division 3 campers to assist in creating their scenery and props for the annual end of camp production!
"Sports on the Quad" Division 3 Campers will engage in a variety of team and individual sports including basketball, soccer, volleyball, Frisbee and more!
"Progressive Aquatics and Free Swim" Campers will be allotted time for pool fun and will also receive swim instruction in our indoor pool.
"Eco-Explorers" Campers explore nature and their surroundings by planting seeds, looking for critters and playing games.
"Music in Motion" One of the Chatham Day Camp's most popular activities! Campers use colorful flags to learn routines, dance and formations to music!
"Music Explorations" Campers will learn the basics of the musical genres past and present. In this course, each camper will have the opportunity to create their own opinion about these different types of music and will learn how to use the internet to search for musical examples. Campers do not have to own an IPOD or an MP3 player but must come with an open ear to all kinds of music!
"Talent Exploration" This is our earliest introductory class to the works of instrumental and music! Campers will explore a different genre of musical instrument each day through games and interaction with the instruments. The class activities will include exploration of the recorder, brass, woodwinds, strings, and percussion.
"Drama Club" Campers will work to rehearse lines, costume and create props for a short three week performance and the grand end of camp performance for their division!
"Soccer, Basketball or Ultimate Frisbee" Campers will engage in one of our three most popular team sports. This is a camper special* and is in addition to the "General Sports" class for our campers who love athletics and being outside!
