History
It’s A New Day at Chatham Music and Arts Day Camp
The Chatham Music and Arts Day Camp was founded in 1956 by Mihail (Mischa) Stolarevsky and his wife Kathryn (Kay).
Mihail was an accomplished musician, working for 45 years with the Cincinnati and Pittsburgh Symphonies. Both Kay
and Mishca inspired many young students to embrace the arts through their dedication and teaching at the Chatham Music
and Arts Day Camp. The camp celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2006. The camp has seen second and third generation
campers as well as helping professionals such as actor Jeff Goldblum develop his acting skills as a teenager. Today,
Kay Stolarevsky continues to support the vision of the camp and enables the camp to offer need -based scholarships to
students who wish to attend the camp and may not have the means to do so.
