Shadyside School of Nursing (SSON) Resource Center

Statement of Agreement
The Shadyside School of Nursing (SSON) is in an agreement with Chatham University that SSON students will take seven courses through Chatham University’s College for Continuing and Professional Studies (CCPS). The seven courses will fulfill part of the degree requirements for the Shadyside School of Nursing’s RN to BSN degree completion program with Chatham University, and include: Anatomy & Physiology I, Anatomy & Physiology II, Microbiology, Human Diversity, Logic, Human Growth & Development and Basic Nutrition.

SSON students are accorded all of the rights, privileges and responsibilities of being Chatham University students. While taking courses offered by Chatham University, Shadyside School of Nursing students must follow all applicable Chatham University rules, regulations, and standards of behavior. Chatham University retains the right to suspend or expel from Chatham courses, or otherwise discipline, any student for non-compliance with its rules, regulations, and expected standards of behavior.

Description of Purpose
The Shadyside School of Nursing Resource Center is provided by CCPS for all current Shadyside School of Nursing students. The Resource Center provides information regarding SSON courses taken at Chatham University, schedule of CCPS courses, deadlines, policies, student services and technical guidance.
