On September 11th, 2007, the Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship at Chatham University launched its Mentoring for Women Business Owners Program at Chatham University’s Howe-Childs Gate House.
The kickoff gave all mentees the opportunity to mingle with all the registered mentors and an orientation session was held for both the mentors and mentees to clarify roles and expectations and to give both a roadmap for success. A Mentoring Handbook was distributed and mentees had their first meeting with their assigned mentor.
In evaluating the kickoff, our mentees had much to say, “The meeting was GREAT and my mentor gave me some really good advice.” “My mentor’s ideas and advice have been wonderful. She is one sharp lady,” and “it was a wonderful event.”
