1. Web site issues.

Cliff handed out a package prepared by Curt Yeske showing the old web site
and the revised web site, as of October 11, 2000. The new web site is
not yet complete, and in particular the links to other sites have not
been completed. Several members of the group had specific comments.

The page entitled Academic Programs has been completely replaced, but the
new page does not have any links shown -- the links from the old page
should be added to the text from the new page. This is also true of
the Environmental Research page.

The Business and Careers page should be retained, along with its links. A new
link to the Sustainable Pittsburgh web site should be included on this
page, as well as a new link to the Pennsylvania Consortium for
Interdisciplinary Environmental Policy web site. The Industry
Participants page should be a separate heading on the list on the left
side.

The Members page should be re-titled Contact Persons, and this new title
should be designated on the list on the left side. A few changes were
indicated for e-mail addresses and phone numbers on this page. The
list should be ordered by institution alphabetically, and within each
institution the names should be alphabetical.

The page entitled Contact Us has some minor edits.

Finally, the descriptions of the Recommended Courses should be added, as well
as the course listings matrix for each school.

The group requested that as many of these changes as possible be implemented
within the next week or so, since registration will occur in late
October at some of the member institutions.

2. Maintenance of the web site

Curt Yeske had asked for $2,000 per year for maintenance of the web site. Evan
Verbanic promised to check whether Sustainable Pittsburgh can provide
this level of funding for the site. If this is not possible, each of
the four member schools can pay $500 per year. CMU would need to bill
each school for this amount. (Evan has reported after the meeting that
Sustainable Pittsburgh cannot fund the $2,000 per year.)

3. Next meeting

The 3RUCE will meet next on the Pittsburgh Voyager, Thursday February 1, 2001,
at 2:00 provided the boat is available then. Cliff will communicate
with Beth O'Toole to reserve the boat. In addition to discussions
about the web site and enhancing cross registration, the meeting will
address environmental practices on each campus. Barb Kviz will be
asked to discuss progress at CMU.
