About Us
The Three Rivers University Consortium for the Environment was founded in 1997 as an
academic partnership between Carnegie-Mellon University, Chatham College, Duquesne
University and the University of Pittsburgh. The Consortium provides environmental
students and scholars with a unique benefit of the combined strengths of the four schools.
These institutions of higher education are all located within minutes of each other in the
city of Pittsburgh, enabling students and faculty to interact with each other easily. The
Consortium also provides industry of the region access to the environmental educational
opportunities through regular degree programs, specialized courses and short courses. By
taking advantage of the 3RUCE, the faculty of the schools are developing collaborative
environmentally related research and educational endeavors among themselves and in
partnership with industry. |
