Rebecca U. Harris was appointed as the Director of the Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship at Chatham University in March 2009. Possessing a wealth of professional experience as both an entrepreneur and a consultant for women owned businesses, Ms. Harris will expand the strategic initiatives and alliances established since the Center’s launch in 2005. The Center’s primary goal is to provide practical hands-on training, guidance, and networking opportunities to women who are starting and growing their businesses.
Ms. Harris brings to the Center over 20 years experience as an entrepreneur, consultant, and marketing specialist. She has started and managed a number of businesses including a publishing company, a marine business, and a food company. As a marketing consultant Ms. Harris gained expertise in business development, marketing, sales management and strategic planning. Her background also _includes/ working for several non-profit organizations including a public broadcasting company and a university. Ms. Harris was awarded the Marketer of the Year Award from the Northwestern Ohio Chapter of the American Marketing Association and was a YWCA Milestones Business Honoree. Ms. Harris holds an MBA in Marketing from The Fox School of Business at Temple University and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from Northwestern University.
Passionate about helping women start and grow successful businesses, Ms. Harris has expertise in developing strategic alliances and mentoring opportunities which will benefit women working in local and regional businesses.

Anne Flynn Schlicht, MBS

Anne Flynn Schlicht joined Chatham University in September 2006 as Assistant Director for the Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship where she designs and implements entrepreneurial training programs and events to assist women in establishing and growing their businesses. Anne’s passion is to help women of all ages to follow their entrepreneurial dream and create a business that fulfills their needs.
Prior to joining Chatham University, Anne worked for six years at the Center for Entrepreneurship Studies at the University of Limerick, Ireland. During her tenure Anne worked on a number of international projects such as the European Network of Entrepreneurial and Innovative Training and Support (EINET). In January 2005, Anne was chosen as the second “Rooney International Visiting Scholar� to Robert Morris University, which facilitated her move to the U.S.
Anne holds a Bachelor of Business Degree and a Masters in Business Entrepreneurship Degree from the University of Limerick. In 2001, Anne was selected by the European Foundation for Entrepreneurship Research and the University of Cambridge as one of 40 international scholars to participate in a seminar on “Best Practice in the Teaching of Entrepreneurship� chaired by Harvard Business School. Anne is the Treasurer for two non-profits organizations in the Pittsburgh region and is an avid rower and runner.

CWE provides Chatham University students with the opportunity to connect with successful women from the community who act as role models through the Executive-in-Residences program at Chatham University. The Executive-in-Residence offers guidance and mentoring to students about the ways they can address challenges and succeed in the business world. The Executive-in-Residence speaks to students in undergraduate and MBA classes throughout the academic year and attends events on campus.
