Bernadette Turner

Bernadette graduated with a Bachelor's in Sociology from Lincoln University and received a Master's Degree in Leadership from Duquesne University. She received the national certification as a Co-Occurring Disorder Professional and is graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh, Class XXVII.

Currently, Bernadette is CEO/Executive Director of Addison Behavioral Care, an agency dedicated to helping families and individuals with their quality of life, specializing in substance abuse prevention, intervention and treatment. She also founded the African American Leadership Association, an organization dedicated to helping African Americans & minorities in leadership positions and Senior Principal with Turner Solutions.

Bernadette participates with various community boards and councils such as the Greater Pittsburgh Non Profit Partnership, UPMC, and WQED. She was appointed by the county Executive to serve on Allegheny County's vision team for Human Services.

Acknowledgements include the New Pittsburgh Courier's Fab 40 under 40; Civic Engagement & Leadership by the Urban League Young Professionals of Greater Pittsburgh; Pittsburgh's 40 under 40 from PUMP and Pittsburgh Magazine, Distinguished Women's Award by the AKA Sorority and Homerun Hitter Award for the Pittsburgh Social Venture Partnership. Her most cherished moments with her husband and 2 children; remaining spiritually grounded in her church.
