Time:9:00 am – 3:00 pm with extended drop off starting at 8am and late pick up until 4pm, included with the camp costs
Cost:$275 for campers only enrolled in Cougar Basketball Camp
$250 for campers enrolled in another MADC section

Coach Bio

Sandra Rectenwald

Sandra Rectenwald joined Chatham University as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach in 2011. In her first season with the team, they won the PAC Sportsmanship Award. She also coordinates a summer basketball clinic for elementary and middle school aged children.

Prior to arriving at Chatham, Rectenwald was the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Swarthmore College from 2008 to 2011. While there, she published a monthly team newsletter for stakeholders. She also helped to coordinate fundraising events for breast cancer research. In two seasons, she helped to raise $4000 in donations. In addition, she organized an annual elementary school girls’ basketball clinic.

From 2006 to 2008, she was the Head Varsity Girls’ Basketball Coach at the Catholic High School of Baltimore. In her second season with the team, she led the team to the first winning record the school had seen in six years.

As a student-athlete, Rectenwald played for four years and had four winning seasons at Carnegie Mellon University. She was a two year captain and a Senior Leadership award winner. She helped lead the team to an ECAC South Championship in 2000. From 2002 to 2003, she was the Women’s Intramural Sports President. She was named to the University Athletic Association All–Academic Team from 2001 to 2003.

Rectenwald received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Carnegie Mellon University in 2003. In 2004, she received her Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Pennsylvania.
