New for 2013

Music and Arts Day Camp Focus Week

Date: July 29 – August 2
Grades: K – 9th
*camper must be 4 years old by May 1st 2013

Campers in Division 1 (K-1st) will have the opportunity expand their knowledge through a music and art intensive core schedule. The campers will have core classes for a longer period of time, growing within their creative minds while exploring new ways to express themselves. Campers will also have supplemental swimming and sport classes while preparing for their end of the week production.

Campers in Division 2 (2nd-3rd) will have the opportunity expand their knowledge through a music and art intensive core schedule. The campers will have core classes for a longer period of time, growing within their creative minds while exploring new ways to express themselves. Campers will also have supplemental swimming and sport classes while preparing for their end of the week production.

Campers in Division 3 (4th) will have the opportunity to explore music and art through our musical theater track of focus week. Their schedule will include prop shop, vocal arts, theater, swimming, and sports. The campers will prepare for and end of the week production that will take place with the Division 4 and 5 campers.

Campers in Divisions 4 (5 – 6th) and 5 (7 – 9th) will choose which track best fits their interest. Campers in the musical theater track will work on a production for the end of the week performance. Their schedule will include vocal arts, technical production, and prop shop, with the option of sports or swimming. The technology track will focus on short film production and campers will learn more about film, editing, broadcasting, and screen writing. Finally, the campers in our sports track will have the opportunity to improve their squash, tennis, soccer, basketball, and swimming skills throughout the course of their day. The sport track will also include information sessions regarding coaching, and training.

Pre–k Half Day Program

Time: 9 – 1:00 PM
Ages: 3 – 4
Enroll: in six weeks or one of two three week sessions
*camper must be 3 years old by May 1st 2013

Campers enrolled in our Pre–k Half Day will have the opportunity to explore basic fundamental classes of our Music and Arts Day Camp. The schedule will include general music, art, sports or swimming*, along with story time. Campers will have the option to pack or buy their lunch at Chatham’s cafeteria.

*at the time of registration families will be asked if they would like their child to swim or participate in a general sports class. Not all campers are required to swim but must choose one of the two options as recreation.
