Business & Entrepreneurship Division
Consistent with the Chatham University seal motto translated as, “may our daughters be our cornerstones,” Chatham has created innovative curriculum throughout its history. To this end, emerges the Business and Entrepreneurship Division.
Starting and growing a business can be a daunting challenge. For women especially, entrepreneurship is a rapidly growing field with nearly half (48%) of all privately-held businesses in the U.S. being owned 50% or more by women.
The Center for Women’s Business Research reports that since 1997, women-owned firms have grown at nearly twice the rate as all firms.
This dramatic growth trend demands cutting-edge entrepreneurship education. Our mission is the passionate dedication to providing students with hands-on experience, combined with knowledge and skills that are required to start, manage, or work in an entrepreneurial environment. Students will have opportunities to engage with leading entrepreneurs and learn firsthand the demands of being an entrepreneur in a rapidly changing global economy.
