Facts about the National Certified Counselor Examination (NCE)
In Pennsylvania, a passing score on the NCE is part of the requirement for becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor.

- Career and Lifestyle Development
• PSY 627 Vocational and Career Counseling
- Appraisal
• PSY 642 Assessment
- Research and Program Evaluation
• PSY 555 Statistics and Research Methods
- Professional Orientation
• EDU 670 Foundations of School Counseling or
• PSY 681 Professional Integration Seminar
- Internships (2-3 academic terms of supervised field experiences in a counseling setting)
• PSY 682 or PSY 584 Practicum
• PSY 685 or PSY 594 Internship I
• PSY 686 or PSY 595 Internship II
