Forensics Curriculum
Forensics Major Requirements
This Forensics program is designed to provide a broad overview of the field of forensics
and crime scene investigation. Completion of this program prepares students for
graduate or professional study or for entry-level positions in law enforcement
agencies. The focus is on providing a general overview of the field that would
enable students to understand key concepts and procedures used in criminal
investigations. Students must also complete the general education requirements.

Forensic Science Minor Requirements
The forensic science minor is intended for students who are interested in careers as scientists in criminal investigation and law enforcement. This includes those who are interested in working in forensic chemistry and toxicology laboratories. It will also serve students who are interested in the scientific background that is routinely performed as part of a criminal investigation. The minor complements the B.S. degrees in biology, biochemistry, and chemistry available at Chatham.
