Secondary Education Certification Requirements
Students who plan to earn a secondary certification in chemistry need a broad background in chemistry and related sciences.

The chemistry-certification curriculum is a State Certification approved program. It is a rigorous program that prepares the Chatham student to be a professional chemist and teacher. A suggested four year curriculum plan for those interested in the chemistry-certification program follows. Optional plans are possible and should be discussed with a member of the Chemistry Department. Please note that teacher certification requirements are set by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and are subject to change.
