Master Arts in Professional Writing

Because employers want people with strong communication skills, especially writing, Chatham’s Master of Professional Writing degree provides students with a program of study that leads to viable and in-demand career options. Students will explore the practice of writing in a variety of professional contexts, including technical writing, speech writing, business correspondence, writing for electronic media, journalism, and critical writing. Students may also incorporate courses that build on their abilities as creative writers while retaining a professional focus.

The Professional Writing program is a one-year program with courses offered on weekends and on-line through the School of Continuing Education.
