Art Exhibition: BIRDHOUSE dialogues

10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Chatham University Art Gallery, Woodland Hall, open weekdays 10:00-7:00

Cost: none

This exhibition features the paintings of Susana Amundarain, adjunct professor of painting in Chatham's Department of Art, Design, and Communications, and the poetry of Carol Ciavonne. The painting and poetry were the basis for a book of the same title published in 2013 by LaFi Publishers, Plymouth Meeting, PA, and explore "the pathways of an imaginary bird." In Amundarian's abstract works "the eyes rest on the velvety drawings evoking the plumage of birds and the nimble velocity of their flights." Ciavonne's "poems traverse the page, inspiring as well as chasing the drawings."
