Dr. Rajiv Sawhney, PT DPT, MS, OCS is a co-owner and SEO of Education at Allegheny Chesapeake Physical Therapy, as well as a staff therapist in their Eastside Office. Dr. Sawhney earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Chatham University and Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh. He is recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association as a Board Certified Orthopaedic Specialist. He serves on the board of directors for ACPT and the Redevelopment Authority for City of Butler. He was an adjunct faculty member of the Physical Therapy Department at the University of Pittsburgh and currently serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Physical Therapy Doctoral Program at Chatham University. Dr. Sawhney is a faculty member of EZ Evidence, teaching evidence based continuing education classes for physical therapists, and has taught locally and nationally for the past three decades. He maintains professional memberships with the American Physical Therapy Association and the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association. Dr. Sawhney is an enthusiastic runner and enjoys most outdoor sports. Clinically, he likes treating orthopeadic and sports related injuries.
