MLK Commemoration Dialogue: Where Do We Go From Here, Chaos or Community?

Rev. Shanea D. Leonard, B.A., M.Div. National Associate for Gender & Racial Justice for the Presbyterian Church (USA). Winner of the 2018 Coro Pittsburgh Martin Luther King Jr, Leadership and the 2018 YWCA of Pittsburgh Racial Justice Leadership Awards. Come join Rev. Leonard who will offer insight from an intersectional lens that challenges Chatham to consider how all forms are oppression are connected, the connection to Dr. King’s work ( faith, racial justice, poverty), and where his gaps and shortcomings exists related to social justice and activism. In the end she will offer actions steps to extend his work, fill the gaps, and enact coalition building to support a more just community for all. Lunch will be served!
