LatinX Heritage Month: Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead Celebration)

Thursday, October 25, 2018
3:30 PM – 5:00 PM
LCC2 in JKM Library

Cost: Free

This celebration embraces elements from the LatinX culture as well as from Native American (north and south) beliefs. In addition, this festivity is an opportunity to talk abut feelings and emotions when we experienced the loss of a loved one and how we can remember their presence in our lives. This will include a presentation on Dia De Los Muertos and pa paper flower workshop. These flowers will be their own offererings (offrendas) in the communal altar in the Library. In advance, students will select the name of three people that they would like to remember in their altar. At the end, the counseling center will discuss missing departed loved ones.
