Kathy is also an instructor for Duquesne University where she is teaching both Accounting as well as Information Systems Management. Kathy has instructed both undergraduate and graduate courses in financial accounting, managerial accounting, external financial reporting, and strategic uses for accounting information. She has also developed and taught several courses, including combining financial and managerial accounting at the graduate student level for the MBA as well as the sustainability MBA students. Prior to her teaching responsibilities, she worked in the public sector for over twenty years. Her work experience includes public, non-profit and consulting companies. Her public accounting experience was with Coopers & Lybrand, and she has also held managerial accounting positions with several hospital systems. In addition, she worked with the PeopleSoft ERP system for over eight years in a variety of capacities, including software testing, design and implementation. Regarding research, she has one article published in a health care digest in 2008, expects to have a few more items published by next year. Kathy’s research interests includes financial and international accounting, sustainability issues as well as accounting information systems. She holds a BS in Business Administration with a major in accounting from Robert Morris University, and an Executive MBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
