  • PASSHE Faculty Development and Research Major Grant--funding for research project, Pictures of Reading: An Investigation of Students’ and Teachers’ Conceptualizations of Literacy $7,000. Awarded April 2011

  • J.C. Penney Community Education Grant (one of ten awarded nationwide) --$24,100. funding supported "TAKE-TWO" Project: an investigation of multimodal literacy development through an innovative arts-technology-based curriculum that involved teams of 8th grade students creating video documentaries of local community—a three year action research project
  • PSEA-IDP Innovative Teaching Grant --(one of only four in state)--$1,000. funding supported Eye- to-I Project: an inquiry-based, interdisciplinary curriculum focused upon Middle School students’ investigations of perception/optical effects
