Amanda Jaros-Champion is a freelance writer and blogger. She received her MFA in creative nonfiction in 2016 through Chatham’s low-residency program. Her work has appeared in journals and magazines including Terrain.org, Newfound, Life in the Finger Lakes Magazine, Highlights for Children, Cargo Literary and elsewhere. She is a Creative Nonfiction Editor and Senior Editor at Literary Mama.

As she revises her thesis for publication, she is also using her writing skills in the political arena as a candidate for County Legislature. She lives in Ithaca, NY with her husband and son.
