Class of 2016
Sharla Yates is the author of “Address” – a nonfiction story, finalist for the 2015Columbia Journal Writing contest and the 2016 Penelope Niven Award — and of the poetry chapbook, What I Would Say if We Were To Drown Tonight (Stranded Oak Press, 2017) (finalist for the Paper Nautilus Vella Chapbook Contest, 2016). Her poems are published in The Boiler Journal, Lynx Eye, and elsewhere. Her short stories and flash are published in Blue Lyra Review, Pretty Owl Poetry, Shadowgraph Quarterly, StoryChord, and The Bombay Review Magazine. She is the Director of Education at Creative NonFiction Foundation and teaches graduate creative writing courses for Southern New Hampshire University.
