    Conversations and Connections is a one-day writer's conference that brings together writers, editors, and publishers in a friendly, supportive environment. The conference is organized by Barrelhouse magazine, and has been held for the past 9 years in Washington DC, and the past 2 in Pittsburgh.

    Prospective MFA Creative Writing students are invited to join us for an academic visit day where students will learn more about the program, application process, and financing options; tour campus; dine with current students; meet with faculty members; and sit in on the foundation craft course: Craft of Fiction, Craft of Nonfiction or Craft of Poetry depending on genre interests.
