What We Do: The Minor Bird is a literary magazine published in print each semester by Chatham University undergraduate students. The magazine represents the creative work of Chatham University’s undergrads and is sponsored by the English Department. We welcome creative writing submissions of all forms and accept work that is polished and well-crafted.

Mission: Our mission is to provide a venue for the voices of students through the art of creative writing. Through publication, we hope to create and demonstrate a literary community that proudly represents Chatham University. Our goal is to form a strong literary base as undergraduates that is well-known and respected throughout the University and Pittsburgh communities.
