Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) Admission Requirements
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
- Overall undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale (if the GPA is not quite at this level, the applicant may be required to submit GRE scores, as well)
- Completed application for admission, including:
- Completed and signed application form
- Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
- Resume and/or additional supporting information on professional or volunteer activities
- Personal statement indicating how the applicant sees the field of landscape architecture and his/her potential career in that field
- Two letters of recommendation
- A portfolio displaying the applicant's appreciation of the arts and recognition of the aesthetic. This could include, artwork/design samples, a writing sample, photography, or any other form of work demonstrating an aesthetic and creative appreciation and/or talents
- Payment of a non-refundable $45 application fee (fee waived if member of ASLA; no fee is required for the online application)
