Biography
Matthew McKinsey earned his Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience and psychology from Allegheny College, and completed his Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree at Chatham University. He has been practicing as an emergency medicine PA since 2008, and has been named both the emergency medicine preceptor of the year by Chatham University as well as the overall clinical preceptor of the year by the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to practicing as a PA, Matt was employed by the UPMC Thomas E. Starzl Transplantation Institute as a transplant procurement specialist. He holds numerous firefighting, rescue, HazMat, and EMS certifications, and has been active in the fire service for over 10 years. He is currently commissioned as a First Lieutenant in the 193rd Special Operations Wing of the Pennsylvania ANG/USAF.
