Art Exhibit: Jerry Caplan and Donna Hollen Bolmgren: Partners in Art
June 9, 2014
On display in the Chatham University Art Gallery, the exhibit “Jerry Caplan and Donna Hollen Bolmgren: Partners in Art” explores the intersection between their lives and their art through self-portraits by both artists and other subjects in oil, drawings in charcoal and pastel, handmade paper, and sculpture in ceramic and plaster.
The exhibit is on display in conjunction with a collection of photographs, documents and artifacts from the life of Caplan, who was an art professor at Chatham for nearly 30 years, on the first floor of the Jennie King Mellon Library.
Both exhibits can be seen through Aug. 22. The Chatham University Art Gallery is in Woodland Hall, next to Cafe Rachel on the large quad of Chatham University, Shadyside. The library, located opposite, is open from 7:45 a.m. to midnight daily, and the gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Admission to each is free.
