Dr. Jenna Templeton appointed as Vice President of Academic Affairs

PITTSBURGH: Chatham University has appointed Dr. Jenna Templeton to the position of Vice President of Academic Affairs. In this role, Dr. Templeton will provide administrative oversight and academic leadership across all academic units at Chatham.

Dr. Templeton joined Chatham in 2011, and has served Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs since May 2014; the Interim Dean of the College of Graduate Studies; and the Assistant Dean in the College of Continuing & Professional Studies (CCPS) and College of Graduate Studies.

“In her time as Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Templeton has demonstrated great leadership, and has moved Chatham’s priorities— including the University reorganization and the transition to undergraduate coeducation—forward on many fronts,” said Chatham President, Esther Barazzone, Ph.D. “Her intellect, personality and vision have endeared her to the entire campus community, and we look forward to her continued leadership.”

Dr. Templeton was previously at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh where she served in a variety of roles including Director of Online Academic and Support Services; Associate Dean of Distance Education; Director of Student Life; Disability Services Coordinator; and Counselor.

She earned an Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership for Higher Education at Nova Southeastern University; an M.Ed. in Counselor Education for Rehabilitation Counseling and BA in Psychology at Penn State University.
