PITTSBURGH: MFA Film and Digital Technology candidate, Jeremy Holdorf, will be debuting his film/installation titled Cathexis from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2015, in the Woodland Art Gallery on Chatham University’s Shadyside campus. Light refreshments will be served. Admission is free.
Cathexis is a film and installation created with the intention of engaging the viewer’s perceptual emotive qualities. The film and installation allude to memory and trauma collectively, while attempting to identify with the viewer on a personal level, thus bridging the gap between the subjective and objective, memory and history.
The exhibit will be on display Monday through Friday until Wednesday, May 6, 2015. The Chatham Art Gallery is located on Woodland Road, next to Cafe Rachel on the large quad of Chatham University. The gallery is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
