Roof Run-off: Rainwater Harvest and Usage

Thursday, July 17, 2014
6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Eden Hall Campus

Cost: $25

This workshop is sold out. We encourage you attend other workshops being offered over the summer.

There is little question that Western Pennsylvania gets lots of rain (and snow), so why not capture it to use on your lawn or garden and save on your water bill as well as ease pressure on your local watershed? One of the simplest ways to do this is by using a rain barrel. Pre-made barrels can cost upwards of $75, but we're providing each participant with resources and knowledge to build and safely install their own at this DIY workshop. Tour the water-saving technologies of Eden Hall Campus and learn from the Falk School's own Master of Sustainability graduate who installed the rain collection cisterns at our newest educational facility in Richland Township!

*Please come prepared to transport your rain barrel home at the completion of the workshop.
