Featured Trainer: Christine K. Jahnke
A nationally recognized author, speaker, and consultant on effective public speaking skills, Chris Jahnke is passionate about helping women speak out to drive change. Chris has coached more women candidates and elected officials than any other trainer. In 2016, her debate and speech coaching were featured in Politico, NPR, US NEWS, WASHINGTONIAN, AND Elle Magazines.
Chris was a speech coach to Hillary Clinton's presidential campaigns and former First Lady Michelle Obama and has worked with nearly all the current and former Democratic women governors. Chris has been a backstage speech coach at five Democratic National Conventions.
A former TV reporter/anchor, Chris provides strategic message guidance on how to impact the media conversation on social and economic justice issues - paid family leave, equal pay, sexual harassment, climate change, and reproductive rights. Chris provides media skills to policy experts at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; #blacklivesmatter; Planned Parenthood; Union of Concerned Scientists; and Women's Media Center.
Right out of college, Chris was a local TV reporter in Minnesota inspired by Mary Richards of the Mary Tyler Moore show. The Women's March in January 2017 invigorated her determination to help more women be heard. Chris is the author of The Well-Spoken Woman: Your Guide to Looking and Sounding Your Best (Prometheus Books, 2011.)
