Green Horizons is the student environmental group at Chatham College. We strive to educate and raise environmental awareness and stewardship on campus, as well as within the larger community. We look for ways to green our own campus and educate students on individual actions that they can take with the hope that environmental awareness will extend beyond our time here at Chatham, and become lifestyle choices that will be carried into the future.

In the past, Green Horizons has sponsored an array of activities, including an environmentally themed lecture series, social forums, environmental film festivals, art exhibits, the building of an eco-feminist website and a sustainable food conference. In addition, we plan outdoor trips with the campus recreation department to raise appreciation for our connection with the earth. We work closely with the campus based, Rachel Carson Institute, who often co-sponsors and supports Green Horizons events.

Green Horizons welcomes all ideas and suggestions to help this student group really make an environmental difference this year.
