The Rachel Carson Institute gratefully acknowledges the Heinz Endowments for its generous underwriting of the Institute's programming and initiatives including the education of our students' and the community on their role in protecting the environment. The Heinz Endowments history of supporting education and the environment has had international impact, and the Rachel Carson Institute of Chatham College is proud to play a role in this endeavor. Our efforts to make Chatham's 32-acre campus a sustainable environment, through the reduction of toxins, the recycling of waste, and heightening the environmental awareness of our students, reflect the mission of the Heinz Endowments.
